H-4 VMA-332 "POLKA DOTS"
The VMA-332 “Polka Dots” was a former WW2 torpedo squadron unit that was re-commissioned in 1952 as part of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing based at Marine Corps Air Station Miami, FL.
The Polka Dots were sent to the Korean theater of war flying F4U Corsairs aboard USS Bairoko first and aboard USS Point Cruz later.
The unit flew its last cruise from April to December 1953 and later transitionned to the Douglas AD-1 and Ad-5 Skyraider until 1957 and later to the Douglas A4D Skyhawk jet.
