TYPE A-8 (USA)
​
The Swiss Fliegertruppe, respectively K+W Thun, evaluated the American Type A-8 oronasal constant flow oxygen mask.
​
No documents or photographs are known to give evidence of the system being used by the Swiss, so we may assume that it was discarded during the evaluation process.

INALATORE AUTOMATICO (ITA)
​
The Swiss Fliegertruppe, respectively K+W Thun, evaluated the Italian constant flow oxygen system "Inalatore automatico d'ossigeno monoposto a respirazione parziale per aviazione modello O.M.I. - I.A. 3 per quote fino a 10.000 m."
​
If this system was officially purchased or rather removed from one of the few interned Italian aircraft remains unknown.
​
No documents or photographs are known to give evidence of the system being used by the Swiss, so we may assume that it was discarded during the evaluation process.
UBK REBREATHER SYSTEM (?)

The Swiss Fliegertruppe, respectively K+W Thun, evaluated two different constant flow oxygen mask systems designed by UBK.
​
No documents or photographs are known to give evidence of either systems being used by the Swiss, so we may assume that they were discarded during the evaluation process.

MODEL 10-69 (GER)
​
The German "fighter mask" , officially referred to by the Swiss as the "Dräger Höhenatemmaske", was used with the Fliegertruppe's Messerschmitt ME 109 (the Swiss used a different nomenclature than the official "Bf 109") and possibly the Morane D-3800 with their advanced demand/economizer oxygen system.

TYPE A-10 (USA)

The Swiss Fliegertruppe seems to have evaluated the American Type A-10 oxygen mask. Numerous examples must have arrived to Switzerland during WWII aboard interned USAAF heavy bombers.
This is the only known photograph, so far. No further documents are known to give evidence of this type of mask being used by the Swiss.

TYPE A-14 (USA)
​
The Type A-14 diluter demand oxygen mask saw widespread use within the Swiss Air Force from the late 1940's with the arrival of surplus USAAF P-51D Mustangs in 1948.

G-TYPE (GB)
​
The British Type G oxygen mask seems to have been used by the Swiss AF, undergoing various modifications. The picture on the left shows a Pilatus P-2 pilot wearing a Type G mask with a small diameter "Röhrli" hose and without an integrated microphone. In this case it was combined with a Stoffhaube cloth helmet and a pair ob B-8 goggles. Communicaton would be provided by means of a throat microphone.

H-TYPE (GB)
​
The British Type H oxygen mask was used during test flights with the De Havilland DH 100 Vampire. If subsequently purchased by the Swiss Air Force for its Vampire fleet is still a subject of research.
