The current version of the Swiss-made CWU-27: instead of pads and clips, Velcro strips have been applied to both thighs, so that a variety of pads/notepads and pockets of various sizes can be applied, adapted to the task to be carried out. The handy side entries are still present.
The Velcro patches are now applied in a standard arrangement; the 'classic' plastic rank plates (still present in the specimen below) are currently in the process of being replaced by a fabric model secured with Velcro.
