The dual visor Sierra
Eng.
APH-6B was a 1967 development of the single visor APH-6A and was specifically
made to attack a/c safety requirements, since the clear visor should have been
lowered at all times during the flight. As such, it was worn mostly by A-6
Intruder crews, but fighters crews used it as well. The similar looking APH-6C
had different comms and liner.
This particular helmet most probably flew with VF-211 aboard USS Hancock around
1972.
