This early H-5 has the same basic configuration of the "version I", but shows some modifications: 

Despite not actually required by the displayed specimen configuration, British MK-2 visor reshaped to match and not interfere with A-13/ MS22001 oxygen mask and cast oxygen mask receivers;

LH oxygen mask leather pad modified;    

Single plug comm connector.

Rear comm cable exit supplemental leather hose fitted in order to bend the cable to the left; 

Due to possible aircraft or helicopter utilisation, boom mike "banana mount" installed. (till quite recent past, SAF pilot could have ratings on aircrafts and helicopters at the same time)
