Designed by Gentex and used for a short time by the USN and the Canadian Navy. This helmet has gone trough two typical Swiss AF modifications:

-Installation of a British visor, identical to the MK-1, reworked to match the MS 22001 oxygen mask shape and "T" bayonets

-The "gull wing cut" in the area above the pilot's eyes, in order to improve visibility.

In Switzerland, the H-5 was manufactured under licence by a Zurich based company, Sportex, and was employed from the '50 until the mid of the '80.
