This type of helmet has been introduced during the beginning

of the '80, thus replacing the Guenau 316, considered too heavy

and uncomfortable.

This specimen was used on F-5E's of "Fliegerstaffel 13" and

then on Pilatus PC-7 trainers of the Swiss AF Pilot School.

In this picture the helmet's rather peculiar leather visor cover is well visible.

The "Fliegerstaffel 13" emblem has been hand painted.

Protection, Inc. helmet identification label with pilot name, date (7-10-80),

Model (DH-151) and serial number.

Both visor edge protection and visor stops are made of thick leather.
